The 2021 fire burned this portage and now deadfall has covered up the old path. The fire was not as intense as futher west, therefore many downed trees to climb over or around. Until the Park or someone with some time re-builds this portage, simply find your own path of least resistence with a map or GPS. 2023 Update: I had time, so I found the old trail and cleared it with a handsaw. The west entrance is marked with tree blazes on trees that survived the fire and the east side is marked with orange flagging on standing dead trees. See photo below.
