I was through this portage in 2018 and it was well groomed due to use. This time it did not show the wear and tear but likely will change as the summer progresses. On Carp, people seem to get in their canoes and take a break. In 2018, I watched a couple of canoes almost get pulled into the falls since they did not pay attention after pushing off from portage a short distance. This can be the first portage for many people just going out so people can be a little inexperienced on getting away from portage properly.

Pretty easy portage. I can see where it could get buggy, though we were there pre bug emergence. The west side of the portage is particularly nice, with plenty of good skipping rocks.

We had no problems coming through here on our staff training trip. Pretty flat and easy.

Only problem here is the preponderance of protruding rocks. Scenic rapid on Carp end.

Another easy portage, as is the case with all of the portages heading this way to Knife.

Pretty straight forward portage. A few rocks to manage but no big climbs or challenging aspects to it. Good landings both ends.
