The route details button turns white after calculating a route. If you have calculated a route and it is still gray, then there is something wrong. Debugging Safari is more difficult for me (since I don't own an iPad or Mac), but I'll try. Thanks for being patient.

Hi Ben, I'm still having trouble. I deleted all my routes and made sure all Paddle Planner pages are closed in all my browsers. But the route details icon is grayed out all the time now, so I can't even try getting route details. I've logged out and in a number of times with no change. I use Safari, but tried Chrome with no luck. I have 18 GB(of 64) of memory on my iPad, if that's helpful.

The grayed out button is because you are no longer signed in. That is also why it goes to the Snowbank (example) route. There are a ton of calculations and details going into the route details, so yes, it takes a long time to load. It takes a lot of memory, too, so it could crash on iPads and phones if there isn't enough memory. The longer the route, the more memory that is used. I already had to make a lot of changes to reduce memory usage, but it sounds like I need to do some more work on it. For what it is worth, I was able to load your routes on my laptop... Does the entire website crash, or just the route details document?

Hi, I just subscribed and except for a few times early on, the website crashes when I tap the details button after creating a route. It works momentarily and briefly comes back but always crashes. It's also extremely slow responding-5 to 10 seconds. I believe it has happened with both saved(definitely) and unsaved routes. I hit the button in the full screen view. I only have an iPad, so I don't know if that's a factor. Additionally the appearance of the details button changed. Now it's "faded" and has a star. It wasn't faded before and I'm pretty sure it didn't have a star(but it still responds). I've tried 3 different browsers without any luck. And now when I look at details it sends me to the same route on Snowbank.
This is the error message I get.
A problem repeatedly occurred on "https://www.paddleplanner.com/tools/routedescription.aspx".
