We made some improvements to fullscreen mode. The improvements aim at putting more map on your screen. Since fullscreen mode is an upgraded feature, these improvements only apply to Map Enthusiast members and above.

First, the top menu bar was taken off. The top menu bar is not very big, but it seems to make a big difference (at least in my opinion).

Second, you can make the control menus and the bottom information bar semitransparent. The controls reappear when you hover over them. You can customize the amount of transparency. Go to Settings, scroll to the bottom and open up Other Options. Change the slider to your desired amount of transparency. Enter fullscreen mode to see how it looks!

I have played around with it a little bit. My preference is to have the controls mostly but not completely transparent. I leave just enough so I can see where the controls are but can clearly see the map beneath.
