Good Day Travelers,

A good friend and I are heading into Beaverhouse the first weekend in September and we are curious about current water levels as it could impact our loop.  Either east, south, west (Your) and out Badwater or east, south east, north (Jesse) then west again and out Quetico.  I have heard the Badwater route can be rough if there isn't enough water under the canoe.

Thank you for your insight,

Mac

I'm not sure what has happened the last few weeks, but I went from Beaverhouse to French via Sturgeon August 1-6. the water levels were high then.

Maybe not relevant but out of BWCA yesterday - area east of Moose - and a little high for this time of year - except Ashub with damage to beaver dam.

Thank you Ben and Bill,

I believe we will pursue the Quetico, Jean, Burntside, Fair, Badwater route and hope for enough clearance to float rather than line our solo canoes. As this is my first time to the Quetico, I am rather excited about the opportunity. Quite at home in the BWCA, the new destinations afforded by the Q have brought a new vitality to my exploration intentions. Many more to come beyond the border.
