I am planning a trip up to loon lake in June this year, I am wondering if anyone knows of a relatively flat camp site that an elderly guy can navigate through, there will be 4 or 5 of us, so the site would have to be pretty large. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

If you're talking about Loon Lake in the BWCA, I can recommend site 24. It's designated site 31 (C0031) in the Paddle Planner campsite database. I was there in June of 2010 and gave it 4 stars. You can find my rating in the interactive map area, and it says, "Primo tent area and landing, good tarp options." I also noted it has 2 good tent pads and 3 total tent pads. In case you can't find the pictures, you can see what the site looks like in my trip report, which is on this site. But here's a link that might make it easier: http://codabone.net/canoeing/bwca/BW1006_2.htm. Scroll most of the way down and you'll see two shots. The first one shows the landing and general tent area. The second one shows my tent set up in an area on the far right side of the first picture. I chose it for the view. Enjoy!

Nope. Fish laugh at me. I hate being laughed at by animals.
