Dunno whether you're in the market for additional suggestions, but these are also on my radar pending BWCA status:

Hi Ben and Jay, I'm headed your way next week; to cross into Canada and paddle the very SE corner of Wabakimi. It's a long drive for me, getting my Covid test along the way at CVS, then crossing on Sept. 6th. Wabakimi is in something of a wet zone, so the big fires of western Ontario do blow some smoke that way, as has been reported; but no major conflagrations. Water levels are low...but rain is on the way, or so says the 10 day forecast. Wabakimi Provincial Park is open...and the Canadians have been paddling there, some anyway. The planning a week long stay in Grand Marais...and day hiking/paddling thereabouts. Hope its as nice as it was last year! Oregon Dave (Board Chair, Friends of Wabakimi) www.wabakimi.org
