Forum Guidelines
Thank you for participating in the forum! Paddle Planner.com and its associates provides a forum for members to discuss canoeing, camping, and other subjects. By posting in the forum, you agree to abide by the following guidelines. Please read them carefully. All posts not abiding by the guidelines will be removed. Repeated offenses may result in a suspension or ban, depending on the severity and regularity of the offense(s). The removal of posts and enforcement of punishments is at the discretion of the administrators and moderators. Prior warning is not required for post removals, suspensions, or bans. We will do our best to judge posts on their own merits and in context; however, we do reserve the right to remove any post for any reason.
HARASSMENT
We welcome individuals of all different backgrounds, orientations, and views, so this is our most important rule: Healthy debate and the exchange of ideas are encouraged; threats, abuse, hate-speech, personal attacks, and harassment will not be tolerated.
VULGARITY AND MASKED VULGARITY
Many members find certain words make them uncomfortable. We ask you to refrain from using vulgar language on our boards. Masked Vulgarity is using cuss words and trying to "mask" them with other symbols or letters, so the word isn't spelled out. Posts of this nature will be removed.
COPYRIGHTED CONTENT
Do not post content that is copyrighted by someone else and that you do not have the right to distribute.
BOARD DISRUPTION
We want you to enjoy the topics you came to discuss on the boards. Any postings that might interfere with the flow of discussion (e.g. off-topic posts, clutter posts (ex: "me too"), etc.), will be removed without notice at the administors' and/or moderators' discretion.
UNACCEPTABLE DISCUSSION
We don't allow the promotion of illegal activities on our boards. We reserve the right to remove posts that we believe involve non-consensual activities or would likely result in serious harm to an individual.
CLASSIFIED, COMMERCIAL, OR SOLICITING POSTS
Generally speaking, commercial posts are not allowed. Posts soliciting or advertising events, items, or businesses unrelated to the content of the website will be immediately removed. SPAM will be immediately removed and will result in the ban of the poster. Commercial posting relating to the website and/or discussion MAY be allowed in limited circumstances where the post is considered to be of benefit to the Paddle Planner community, subject to the discretion of the administrators and moderators. Examples of commercial posts that may be, but not necessarily, approved are answers to questions posted by members and posts relating to the forum discussion. Classifieds should only be posted in the discussion board set aside for that purpose. If you are unsure if your post is appropriate,
contact the administrator and ask.
SINGLE POSTS ONLY
In order to avoid the appearance of SPAM, please do not post the same message more than once per board and make sure it's relevant to the board you post it in. If you post the same message in more than one board, the administrator/moderator will leave one copy of the message in the most appropriate forum and delete the rest without notice.
POSTING PERSONAL INFORMATION
Addresses, phone numbers (fax, pager, etc.), and other private information doesn't belong on the boards. If you need to contact another member, do so through the form on the
member profile page.
