Huge rock ledge dominates this island site which fronts a smaller island, making site quite private. Landing is alongside ledge, but you need to find the deepest water, as there are rocks lurking just beneath the surface. The large clearing which includes an impressive amount of bedrock is nicely shaded by cedars and balsam fir but also allows some sun and a breeze. One large cedar has sparse enough branches to hang food pack. The well fortified kitchen offers 4 log seating, although some logs are decomposing. There are many possible tent sites--some large enough to accommodate two tents. There are multiple trails for gathering wood and walking along the shoreline.

After finding many of the other sites full, we pulled in here well after dark. We were amazed to find this one open and available. On a night we wouldn't have been picky, this was a surprisingly nice site with an easy sloped rock and a nice camp kitchen. There are numerous tent pads back in the forest. Great spot for a first night for us.

Nice large site. Excellent fire area and plenty of room for a tarp. Good bear bag trees as well. Decent landing, but could be a little slippery as it is a slightly sloppy rock. Easy canoe storage. Nice swimming area.
