Decent camp site. The landing is nice and sandy. The landing is tucked back a bit and can be a little tough to spot from a distance so be close to shore when locating it for the first time. There is about a 50 yard gradual hike up a hill to the campsite. The campsite is pretty open. There are multiple tent pads, but only a couple are level. The biggest tent pad is pretty large and is level. The latrine is up a hill behind the campsite with a steeper climb. You can see the campsite from the latrine when standing. There is one sitting log by the fire ring which is high enough off the ground to be comfortable. Lots of maples and hemlocks here. There are no good food hanging branches that we could see, but we use the pulley method which does not require a good hanging branch. You can see Osprey 2 from the campsite, but no one was there while we were camped here for two nights. Overall, it is a great site as long as you don’t have noisy neighbors at Osprey 2. Giving a 4 star rating due to the proximity of Osprey 2.

Nice sandy beach for landing & swimming, kind of a tough climb from landing to campsite. Unfortunately, you can see Osprey 2, but I think 2 is typically a walk-up, so odds are good it won’t be occupied, at least not every night. Really nice sitting logs around fire ring, nice operational fire ring, nice rock table setup for cooking / Dutch oven / whatever. One nice spot for one large tent. Latrine is very close by. (When standing up at latrine, you can actually see your tent!) Hard to find a food hanging branch.
