This site is not quite as good as Bobcat but I very much enjoyed Raccoon. We had no need to cook or use the fire ring at all so we set up our tent on the point by the water which made for beautiful views, a nice steady breeze to keep the temp down and bugs at bay, and good water drainage. We absolutely adore High lake so staying on this lake is the best. East portage from Crooked. Clear lake with a gorgeous island in the middle, and "okay" fishing (lol). As is standard in Sylvania, its a bit of a trek from the waters edge to the actual campsite area (up a small trail). There are 2 well established tent pads. No real place to hang a tarp unless you have some long ropes.
