Very generous rock shelf landing with shallow water extends across the front of the site and also provides good canoe storage area just up from there. Fire grate is back in the woods a bit and offers 2 large logs for sitting and table use. For the most part the site is well sheltered but does afford a few slivers of enchanting southerly views. The surrounding forest isn't too cramped and exploration and firewood gathering is not too burdensome. Affords good hammock & tarp options. Traffic near site should usually be non-existent but, you will see the occasional canoe around the islands to the south.

Northernmost site features a nice sloping bedrock, but water is too shallow to load alongside. Have to nose-in and wetfoot or pass gear to front, but more than one canoe can load at a time. The clearing is along the shoreline and includes the rock ledge. There are two big logs for seating, and the fire grate is well protected from prevailing winds. Two of the four tent pads are considered to be good. Has nice scenic view down the lake toward the island chain. There are trails along the shore.
