Visited while passing through. As others have said, it's small, it's brushy, and all around not that great of a site.

Stayed here after every other site on Malberg was full on the Thursday before Memorial Day. Landing is shallow and easy and has ample room for shore fishing, but we caught 1 fish in about 400 casts between 2 people and I'm not joking. Fire grate area is about the smallest I've seen, and on a slope. No privacy and almost no shade. It's easily the worst site I've stayed at in the BWCA over the last 5 years/11 trips and put somewhat of a damper on this trip unfortunately. You can't win 'em all...

Last site available on Malberg, which is the only reason to take this site. Grassy landing is nice, but not ideal for swimming or fishing. Firegrate is on a slope. No big trees so hammock spots are sparse. Lots of brush.
Still a bad campsite in the BW is still better than ... anything I can think of.

Overgrown site that doesn't appear to be used very often. Good walleye fishing off point.

Fantastic beachy landing, but that's about it. Was overgrown and tough to set up two small tents. Like anything, it works in a pinch.

Didn't stay but took a look. Not a site I would choose. Grassy and small.
