I would say this is 3-4 stars, so I rounded up to 4. The landing is a flat rock to the west of the kitchen. There is a short trail to the site from the landing. There is a nice view from the kitchen. There is access to some rocks on the west point. One of the tent pads is in a large open area under some pines, but half of the area is rocky and rooty, so only one tent will fit. Another potential tent pad is very close to the fire grate. There are some hammock options.

This is one of my favorite sites in the BWCA - Albeit my experience in this beautiful place can be counted on 2 hands. Anyway, we were stranded here for 3 days due to mostly high winds and a couple thunderstorms that rolled through, but the variety this site offers made our stay worth it despite the weather. We were shielded quite well from the wind which was from the northwest. The sunsets were spectacular, the fishing was great from all sides of the site and we even managed to enjoy some swimming. Only draw back was you do tend to get a couple roots/rocks under your tent regardless where you park it. None the less, Our experience here was one to remember.
