Site definitely has different characteristics than most of the sites on the boundary waters. Lots of grass throughout the site. In fact, the grassy area straight in from the landing will host a couple tents. Also, if you follow the grass trail further back it will take you to a hidden area where there are several trees but very spread out providing several spots for tents. The landing on the site is good, but the water is very murky. You need to canoe out to get good water low in vegetation and water bugs. This is certainly not my favorite site, but it is a nice site if you need a layover site the night before paddling out of the BWCA, so for us, it did it's job by doing just that...

Nice landing, nice tent pads, close to portage. Good hammock trees. It's a hidden gem.

Moist, mosquitos, overgrown privy trial and lots of fecal matter on the ground. Not good.
