I've stayed at this site at least half a dozen times. It's a great place! Excellent landings, good tent pads, beautiful views, and plenty of wildlife. We've had a bear in camp, heard wolves, turtles lay eggs on the beaches, and swans are regular visitors...to name a few.

Campsite is high up on a hill with a great view. There are landings on both sides of the peninsula. There is an obvious landing on the west side, but the one of the east is easier. The area around the kitchen is grassy. There are numerous flat tent pads. We did not have luck fishing from shore, but we caught numerous fish nearby.

Great site, with plenty of room for a large group. Kitchen area has a great view to the west for sunsets. Two landing sites one on the west the other on the east, good fishing from both of these areas as well as along the shore line. Two birch trees about 20 feet apart down the old latrine trail were perfect for food hanging.

I agree with others. Much more to this site than you might first assume. Yep, park the canoes around in the bay ... much better landing there. We had good, May walleye fishing up and down the shore both ways from this site. Nesting Eagles off to the east in the bay.

Very good site with a ton of room to roam. Good firewood can be found on the old latrine trail if you keep going. Look for the better landing around the point from the obvious landing. Perfect BIG white pine in camp for food hanging. A lot of crayfish hanging out around the shore. The island to the north west blocks your view of one of the best look-outs I have been to in the BWCA. Look for the cliff to the north from the narrows.
