Nice well protected site with the famous Alice Lake sand beach. The bugs were somewhat of a issue due to the shade provided by the Cedar trees. The weather was nice during my trip, but due to the protected area a breeze would have been nice. Good fishing near by.

This site has a large beach area protected from south winds. The kitchen and tent pads are nestled in the red cedar trees, making the site a little dark. It would be very buggy in the summer, but September visit was OK. The site would accommodate large groups. Giving this 4, not 5 stars because this site is not one that you keep talking about after you leave. It is good, just not spectacular.

Gorgeous beach site! Long sugar sand beach. Fire grate is close to the water but, is well sheltered by some nice mature cedars. There are trails running in every direction leading to the point and the campsite around the peninsula. Several nice tent pads are tucked away in the lush grove of mature cedars. Almost no need for a tarp.

Didn't stay but stopped to check it out. It was very woodsy and we wanted some sun so we chose not to stay. Many people will like it.

One of my all-time favorite sites. We were there in an unusually cold, windy week in late July. But there were lots of potential tent sites under the trees (we only used 2), lots of trees for hanging/tarping, a beautiful sand/gravel beach for landing/swimming all set in a cove that blocked the howling west wind. If it were warmer, the swimming would have been great. We really enjoyed this site. The site on the other side of the peninsula was pummeled by the wind and would have been uninhabitable. We were cozy on our side.
