We just took a quick look before heading deeper into Fishdance. It didn't look suitable for even two hammocks and any tent pads were largely covered by brush. Probably a good site for a small group 20 or 30 years ago but a few trees went down and now it's five foot tall bush, a fire grate ten or so feet off the water and a path to the latrine that will net you a weight of ticks equal to your daily constitutional.

Inconvenient boulder landing without much room for adequate canoe storage. There is really only room for one tent - maybe 2 smaller ones? There are trees around but, convenient hammock & tarp options seemed limited. Trail to latrine is a good climb that provides somewhat of a view back at the rapids, however the latrine was back down in a gulley. Easy access to the nearby rapids for fishing & exploring. Small groups only.

It's not the nicest campsite ever. This site is set up on a slight ridge in a relatively open stand of jack pine. The surrounding area is pretty brushy. It's a site for folks who are looking to fish the rapids or are looking for a one-night stay before moving on.
