Two good tent pads - one suitable for a larger tent. Great sun in the AM on the rockface. Good swimming off a ledge. Wolves woke us up in the middle of the night.

Nice site! Decent sand flats landing, good spots to put canoes on shore. Small-ish firepit seating. Aesthetically pleasing site, except for the frustrating aimless hatchet/axe marks in some of the trees (seriously, WHY?). Not an amazing view of the lake but pretty nice overall. Tents and hammocks and tarps will all find a decent home here. Please treat this site with respect, as it clearly sees a lot of use.

Excellent site with very large glacial erratic providing lots of wind protection for a couple tent pads. Excellent morning views as well.

The Big Boulder camp site. Most of the fallen trees noted in other reviews have been cleaned up. Fishing was good off the rocks during a light rain. Rocks are steep but there is another landing south of the rocks. Beaver came by in the evening and morning to check on us. We learned to check drainage and set up tents early as a storm with 1" hail hit us before dinner time. The water around the tent was 3" deep and the floor looked like a waterbed but didn't leak. One of us did not set up his tent and took shelter under the Boulder to avoid the hail. View is only to the east.
PS: we think we lost a cell phone around the big boulder, if anyone can take a look.

Expected more from this site.
On the positive, it has a good shallow pull-out which also allows for good swimming. Sloping rock face down to water allows for drying of gear and seating.
On the negative, the fishing was non-existent and the flies were awful, even in August. Although that is not really a reflection on the site itself. We managed to squeeze in 3 two-man tents and 2 one-man tents. Just meh.

One great pad but left but the is further back in the trees. There are several trees down in the site as stated in another review. The view is nice and the landing is a sloping rock but 2-3 feet deep. The fire pit is great and has some log seating. Also, there is a large very flat rock for stoves if required. Fishing in front of the camp is just OK as this is a shallow lake.

This is a great site overall, but the July '14 windstorm took a heavy toll on the trees here. Numerous big cedars and pines are down covering a couple of the tent pad options and blocking the latrine trail. The canoe landings and kitchen a were both untouched.

very nice site with lots of tent pad options. Good landing and the fire area was good too. This site would be good for a large group.
