Good site kitchen needs some work though. More shade would be awesome.

Beautiful site. wide open view. pretty exposed to the west so on a windy day it would be rough.

This site has a major vulnerability to the wind. There is very little cover from a west or north wind. On a calm day this is a 5. On a windy day this is downright miserable.
Otherwise, spacious site on an impressive rock slab on the north end of the island. Commanding views of the lake. Excellent stargazing potential.
Canoe approach is best achieved from the far north-east end of the big rock face (past some trees), it is more gently sloped here and shielded from waves.
Opportunities for fishing and cliff-jumping from the site itself. Has a walking trail that connects to the other (south) campsite, which is not nearly as spacious or scenic.

I had heard good things about this site and wanted to get my guided group a good site this day. The boy scouts from California were just leaving the site when we got to the lake. Perfect timing! Glad we got there just as they left because there were tons of groups coming through looking for a site today. Site was full of berries when we were here. Blueberries, late Strawberries, and buckets full of Saskatoons. It was paradise! Mosquitoes were horrific, but that's just the season.

Good luck getting this site! Popular, for a reason. Nice area for cliff jumpers of all skill-bravery levels. Great trees for hammocks. Hard to beat!

One of the best sites that BWCA has to offer. We traveled from Moose to get to this site.
Scenery 5/5
Landing 3.5/5 (best to approach from East)
Trees 4/5 (make sure you have plenty of rope for food pack. Great cover from the South)
Swimming 5/5. (Has a nice ledge for jumping into deep water. Little difficult getting back up on the rocks because of slippery algae)
Site is a little more windy than most because it's very exposed from the north, but we loved that. It kept the bugs off, and the fire-pit faces to the south so it does have a bit of a wind break.

Beautiful open site with great views of Ima lake. Big sloping granite all along the front of the site down to the water. I could see issues if it was a windy day as there isn't much cover from the weather, especially around the kitchen area.

Awesome site. Beautiful views, giant rock ledge overlooking the lake. Great view from the fire pit, nice tent pads near the water and set back in camp. Only real drawbacks could be a NW wind and not many good options for a tarp over the fire area.

Large site. Sits on large sloping rock . At least 2 good level tent pads. We had a 4 man and would fit easily on either. Im sure you could fit a third tent. the day we visited was very window and the fire pit sits out on the point. We had to set our canoe up on its side to block some wind to be able to cook comfortably. But that worked great.

Big site perched on a large rock which provides a great view of the lake and a nice spot for swimming. Would be a fun site for a large group.

Big & roomy, several level tent pads, OK tarp options, nice landing.
