Greatly enjoyed the site. Lots of space to spread around, put up hammocks, etc, excellent tent pads, descent kitchen area. Water on both sides was surprisingly calm for swimming, and kids enjoyed swimming across to Canada and to Isle of Pines. You'll certainly see canoes pass by, especially on the south side (surprisingly few passed on the north canal), but the site is up the hill and set back from the water so we didn't feel this was an issue at all.

Sheltered here during a storm - we decided to move on in search of a better site.

The more I looked around the more tent pads I found. Big site with room to spread out. A lot of traffic as paddlers go on both sides of the island. Really close to Dorthy's Island & the Rainbow Rock. Several hammock areas as well, up hill climb, but not bad. Steep drop to lake on North side. Didn't swim, but didn't look too great for swimming. Can find good shade & good air flow at all times of day.

This campsite is across from Dorothy Molter's Isle of Pines. The site is protected from the wind pretty much on all sides. The kitchen is nothing special - not really much of a view from there. There are two spots you can land the canoe, one on each side of the island. For both, it is a climb up to the campsite. The swimming areas are rocky but not too bad.
