This is probably the best site on this island. Some of the posted images of this site are incorrect. They are for the next site down on the island. Wonderful sandy landing for canoes. Two trails lead off the landing. One heads up to the main kitchen open area of camp and the other leads back to an opening that can fit 3-4 tents. There is a rock ledge off the main part of camp which acts like a table for cleaning fish. This is a nice unique touch. Some issues I have with this site are the lack of hammock trees. There is an overall lack of big trees on this island so bear hangs and hammocking will require some effort. This site also faces the main drag through Ensign. You will see a lot of people pass by all day long. If you are looking for seclusion then this site is not for you...Ensign is probably not the lake for you. Fishing is not great from camp but great fishing can be had elsewhere on Ensign.

Open south facing campsite. Set of trees to east allows for hammocks, but you'll all be clumped together. Can fit 5 hammocks, but I think the tent pad space is more spacious. Canoe landing area is very smooth, open and spacious.

Nice site. A good landing for a kayak, a bit shallow for the canoe. The one tree on the island big enough for a bear hang engulfed our bear rope. No trees for hammocks.
