Landing is on shallow rock ledge requiring wet foot alongside loading. Boats have to brought up to the tiny clearing, which also contains the tent pads and kitchen. Clearing is close to the water and very open with little shade. The fire grate has minimal rock fortification, exposing it to wind. No sitting logs or handy rocks for eating. The tent pads are rocky, slanted or both. There is little to recommend this site except its proximity to Prairie Portage.

Nice site, has gravel/rock landing, does have some drawbacks. Gets plenty of use and does not have much for firewood as the area surrounding the site is mostly lowland and filled with tag alder. Also has plenty of beaver activity.. those critters were crawling around outside my tent dragging brush and keeping me up all night. Exposed to an east wind.
