I was looking forward to checking out this site, but the high water really did a number on this place. There was lots of brush/logs washed up on the shoreline all the way to the firegrate. It did not look like this site had been used since the high water started in 2022. This looks like a decent site, hopefully it gets cleaned up for future use.

It looks like it should be better, but it isn't. From a distance, it looks like it will be a campsite in the pines on a point with a sand beach. However, the campsite itself is right up next to the beach in a slightly swampy area, not up on the point. The site is small. The sand beach is nice. Someone made some stone chairs for the kitchen, which were nice to sit in.

Agree with other reviews, stopped for a break after crossing big La Croix. Caught smallies trolling raps to the site.

Nice site - sandy beach, easy landing, tent sites are pretty good. Someone took the time to make nice slate camp furniture around the fire! Great bass fishing here as well.
