This is probably my least favorite site I've ever stayed at in the BWCA. it's a wide-open sloped site on a busy lake. The latrine was a pretty good hike up a hill and overlooks disappointment lake. It is by far the best view from a latrine I've ever had which was the only upside I could remember from this site.

Good spot and really only suffered because of the wind out of the SSE which made it very exposed that evening. Nice view of the lake and easy landing for the canoe.

Decent site. Very buggy compared to nearby sites - pretty much cleared out of the woods, without any natural "porch" extending into the lake or anything. View of the islands is nice enough. Interesting rock shield formations to hike up just behind the campsite. You have to follow these to the latrine, a decent ways up actually. Good canoe landing. You will see all lake traffic passing through.

Nice large rock landing facing southeast towards the lake. Great for drying equipment. Latrine was a long walk through a narrow path and was newer with lid. Walking the latrine trail at night was not nice! Two possible kitchen sites in the trees but not real nice. Saw a pine martin kill a rabbit at this site so there is wildlife close.

Second time at this site. Good landing for one canoe, great swimming. Sheltered areas for cooking and tarp set up. Nice fore ring with south east views over lake. High traffic off shore. Curiously open both times I showed up later in day. I'd stay here again.

Good site. Lots of traffic. The lake in general was very busy. Most of the sites were taken. People were camping (unlawfully) on the small island across the way. Overall a good site though. I little rocky to get stakes into, but fine overall.
