As others have described, the landing is a beach - literally. A very long stretch of beach which allows for ample views of Knife Lake and makes for an amazing sunset. There are so many places to put tents you don't even need to count tent pads. Anyone who says less than 6 is ridiculously picky. There are plenty of spots! We took a group of 9 people with 5 tents and had room to spare. There are so many amazing things to say about this site that it deserves more than 5 stars. One thing you MUST do if you stay at this site is venture along the trail that goes past the toilet until you get to the rocky outcrop. The views there are second only to Thunder Point. Despite the other reviews, we did not encounter any bears and we stayed for 2 nights so take that for what you will. We also did not catch any fish despite multiple attempts at multiple locations. We even took a day trip to Eddy Falls and didn't catch anything there (35 min paddle by the way).

Incredible site! Pebble beach landing on the north and west sides, great for swimming. Plenty of tree-covered and open-air tent pads. Several large trees make for great hammock hanging. Ideal for any size group with tents and/or hammocks. Protected from wind, which could be a good or bad thing depending on weather. The obvious bear-hang tree (a large birch) has bear claw marks all up it. However we saw no other sign of bears during our stay. While there aren't great views directly from the campsite, you need only walk a few steps down to the beach for incredible vistas and sunsets over SAK. Good smallmouth fishing around the peninsula. Take a day trip to Sema and troll for lake trout. PLEASE TAKE YOUR FIREWOOD FROM DOWNED TREES ALONG THE SHORELINE! Several green trees had been sawed down at this site, which was a real bummer.

Not very open to breeze and views of the lake, so 4 stars, not 5.

BEAR came to our campsite at 10am, medium size, friendly, I told him to leave and he turned around and went back into the forest. There was bear poop by the shore with a lot of fish scales in it. We found over 12 walleye carcasses in the water right off the site. And someone dumped a bunch of carrots in the woods. Not cool! Please be careful and never throw food around the campsite like that. As it attracts bears. Other then that its a great site with a extraordinary beach and views.

BEAR. Great open site with beach. Sadly, our visit also featured one large bear who would not be driven off and gave virtually zero craps about our loud efforts to drive it off. We had 2 visits from this bear before we decided to find a different site.

Good beach landing and swimming area, flat tent pads and good location/views. Snow shoe hares come in to eat the grass and wolves come in to hunt the hares. Lots of camp bear activity in all these surrounding camp locations.
