I really like this site, but I do agree with the other commenters that the tent pads are not level. I caught my first lake trout a few yards from this campsite in the middle of the lake (south arm). The hike to Thunder Point just opposite the campsite is worth it. Great views from up there.

Stayed here on a Solo Trip in 1990. Had the whole lake to myself I recall it being right down close to the water.

We stayed two nights at this expansive site. Lots of room to spread out and explore, but finding good level tent pads without rocks or roots was a challenge. The site could use a new latrine. The kitchen is nicely sheltered from the wind, which was blowing fiercely the second day we stayed here. Fishing from the shore was simple and seemed to have a nice population of smallies lurking about 30 feet offshore. Tons of good solid trees to hang hammocks, rain tarp, and bear bags. Easy paddle across to the trail up to the top of Thunder Point which treats you to a spectacular view west down Knife Lake.

Decent landings on both sides. Two ok tent pads, one is up the hill a bit. Not muych to look at while around the fire, but its sheltered. Lots and lots of trees for hammocks on the hill side.

nice site, decent tent pads and good trees for hanging, the landing is good and the fire area nice. Have seen bears on this site 2 or 3 different times. Fishing is good right from camp, smallies and walleyes in the evening
