We only base camped on the site next to it. The site is pretty open and not protected from much other than being in the bay. Might be hard with a east or south east wind. Not the best tent pads from what I could tell. Maybe 1-2 good ones with the option for 1 or 2 more. In the 7 days only one group stayed at the site. I would only stay if there was no other options.
