This campsite is very open and sits on a high point. The wind kept the bugs at bay for us most days. The canoe landing on the backside of the peninsula works okay. We fit a group of 8 on this site comfortably. It has a nice seating area around a fire pit for evening conversation and views of La Croix. We were able to put 4 tents on this site.

It may have been the 30 MPH winds blasting in my face, but I was lukewarm on this campsite. It has a nice view to the south (which is where the wind was coming from). It just seemed a little open to me. As mentioned in other reviews, it appears to have lost a few trees in the 2014 windstorm, so it is now fairly open around the kitchen area. I only was able to find one good tent pad back among the trees, but I may have missed another - there are a lot of trails, and I was only able to find the one in my wanderings. The water looked pretty deep off the point, so it might be good for fishing or swimming. The landing was pretty good. It was around the point in a semi-sheltered bay, which was good because it was so windy that day. The site appeared very well used.

The site has great water access, great views, multiple tent locations. The cooking area is a little bit exposed in windy conditions.

Nice site with good landings, kitchen area, and open rock point. There are two good, but small tent pads and two marginal ones. This site lost several large pines in the July '14 windstorm, but is still in decent shape.
