I'm giving this site a 5-star rating simply because IMHO it's the only reasonable site on Wanda Lake that ticks all the boxes including - protected and unburned, open fire area and sitting area (no bugs) and a great tent site with a wonderful view of the lake although a little open to south and west winds. There are more potential sites in the trees behind the site but they would require work to make do. The west site is nice but way too open for wind or storms (I'm not even sure you could hang a tarp) and the island site isn't open or obvious. YMMV.
My daughter and I paddle the entire lake TWICE after a long day, looking for a viable site for the 2 of us. There were some potential spots on islands on the east side of the lake and I found an old fire ring with an iron pan at one of them but they are totally undeveloped and I couldn't find good tent spots.

I stopped in here when looking for a camp site on Wanda, but moved on. It is ok, but there is a nicer site about 1 km to the west. There is a nice fire pit, but has a lack of flat tent spots. The only one is located further up the rock slope back in the bush.

This site is past its "best by" date. Needs work to remove widowmakers and general clean up. There is one viable tent pad.
