This is a wonderful site to spend a few days on. Large and open to the west and you are able to get out of the wind if you relocate just over the knoll. Several eagles visited us expecting a free handout from our fish cleaning. Will visit again this fall

Great spacious site! West facing so beautiful sunsets. Mornings are a little buggy, but afternoons are nice and sunny b/c it is open in middle of site. Lots of trees for tarps, hammocks, etc around edge. If it is windy, going around the back of the island to fish gets you out of the wind. Would use this site again!

This is a large, flat open site with towering Norway pines and a dirt/pine needle floor. The landing is an easy take out onto a gentle sloping granite platform. A large glacial erratic stands sentinel marking the site. The fire ring is well developed with good log furniture on three sides. There are ample trees for hammocks and hanging food. The trail to the latrine is well marked with a birch bark "Open/Closed" sign noting occupancy of the throne ahead to avoid embarrassing encounters. The view over the island-studded bay is impressive and the fishing does not disappoint.

Small, but nice site with a good landing area, decent kitchen and two very nice tent pads. Hopefully the forest service removed the widow-maker the July '14 windstorm left behind.
