This campsite worked well to set up a camp sheltered from a storm rolling in. Big rock face blocked the wind and trees were situated well to set tarps near the fire pit. Tent pads were cramped but we were able to fit two tents and there was room for a third if needed. Caught a 30" pike and some small bass from shore.

Not a very big campsite, one good tent pad, and maybe a second if you don't mind roots. If blueberries are ripe it may be worth a stop as there are tons of blueberry bushes around the site.

Stopped here for a cup of Joe one morning. Worked fine for that, but otherwise, not the greatest. An iffy landing leads to a bit of a climb up to a so-so kitchen and one fair tent site. Not much open space. Would only stay here in a pinch.

We battled the wind all day long, and found filled campsite after filled campsite on Basswood. The group was tired while nearing the end of their first day when we arrived here. This site was a cramped and wouldn't fit our two tents in the tent pads. We passed and headed up towards the portage.

Didn't stay here but did see a bear here on our way up to Basswood Falls. Fought the wind there, might be a rough place to stay due to the way it sits.
