I stopped here looking for a campsite and moved on. Lots of tent spots but not very level and far from firepit. It is also a good hike up from the lake.

Nice large site. However, the firepit area is all dead standing or downed trees. The tent pad area is exposed but the pads are nice and flat. When approaching this site a gull was nesting on a nearby bare rock island and proceeded to dive bomb us until we got to shore. After the sun went down, we saw fireflies hovering in the brush near the tent. During the night, a critter (chipmunk) ate a hand sized hole in my merino wool shirt draped over a log to dry. We didn't do any shore fishing.

Good site but the tent area is rather bare. We had a close bear encounter behind camp.
