Like all campsites on Mather Lake, this one has been burned by the last couple of forest fires and is wide open. But this campsite has a really nice, designer fire ring that someone put the time in to build. Based on the tall grass and dead fall around, this spot has not been used for a number of years, but it would not take much work to make it better. 3 stars since everything else I saw on Mather was in worse shape.
