*2024 Update*: The trees that got partial burned in the 2021 forest fire have now started to fall over. The Park cut some away with a chainsaw and I finished up the rest with a handsaw when I base camped here late in the fall. Lots of firewood now. The downside is that it is wide open to the north, but it still has some green trees along the south lake shore. Enjoy the campsite and please keep this gem clean.....
2023: I agree with the other paddlers. One of the most beautiful campsites I've seen in WCPP. It has it all: flat grassy area, many tents pads for group camping, two fire pits depending on wind direction, many trees for tarp shelter, and great swimming. This site survived the 2021 fire with only a few trees partially burned and left standing.

Love the 2nd fire pit to accomodate wind and sunrise and sunset. It has two huge glacial erratics which are cool as well.

paddled in from Welkin, past this site and up to the northeast part of Aegean. This was a great site, and really the ONLY site that was usable that we found. Lots of room to spread out, two firepits, grassy area, good landing, one of the best sites of the trip. Look no further on Aegean, didn't find a better one.
