Protected and fairly private site in little bay between Pipestone and Jackfish bays. Landing is along sloping rock ledge, Although landing faces west, there is not a long "reach" for wind to build up. There is adequate canoe storage on top of ledge. The sloping rock clearing is high above the lake and quite large. It features some huge jack pines. The 4 log kitchen is exposed to a west wind. The two best tend pads are off a trail on right side of clearing. This is a great site if Basswood is windy.

Solid site on a quiet lake though with plenty of access to the bigger lakes.
Snakes living on the big rock. Was fun watching them.
A number of places to hang a hammock.

Wide open site with a great view. Semi-private bay that motors don't use. The landing is OK - sandy, shallow, and rocky. The trees are mostly jack pines. Three of the four tent pads are lumpy and should only be used if really needed.

This is a nice site for shelter from busy traffic in Pipestone. Feels like the entire bay is your private lake. Only saw three groups pass by to/from Jackfish Bay during our 4 days. Smaller landing to the West of the site, otherwise mostly rock shore. A good central location to take small trips either direction. Early August and I don't think we had a single mosquito bite. Sheltered from higher winds from the South and East.

Good spot to stop on a route. Can be seen in video in link (second site).

Great views, ok fishing. Would be fairly unprotected if a hard west wind kicked up, but we had good weather. Good for smaller groups. Troll the weed lines in the side bays for pike.
