Base camped here in late summer 2024. The site was not what I would have liked, but my paddle buddy was tired of looking for another site.
It appeared to be little used.
The firepit was far from any trees and about 30 yards from the lake. There was no reason to sit around it. We brought chairs, but there was no usable seating around the fire pit.
The area was generally overgrown with a lot of poison ivy once off the basic area.
Landing was good and it was near good fishing.
My next trip I would put in the effort to move a little further toward ladyboot bay.

The landing was pretty easy - a small gravel space. The site is a large grassy area. It looks great from a distance, but it is a little overgrown. The tent pads are a little uneven and perhaps slanted, but they will work. You can fit a lot of tents in, but they will be close together.

The site looked promising, lots of wildflowers and meadow. But it was fairly overgrown, especially around the fire grate, and there were few good trees to tie up tarps. The site was extremely buggy.
