The defining characteristic of this site is the beach that goes forever. The bay was really shallow; we had to swim out more than 50 m to get to water over our heads. We also decided to paddle out a ways to get "fresh" water. There was a hare that kept poking its nose around our food, and wouldn't leave the camp site until we did. This was a little annoying, but also entertaining. The whole site was sandy; it got on and in everything. There was little shelter around the kitchen or tent area, but there were trees around the edge that provided some shade for hammocks. The site is way off the common route (no one came into the bay while we were there), but we did hear motors from time to time from Moose Lake. One of the best features is the west-facing beach, so the sunset viewing is almost unmatched.

Nice beach, good fishing for northerns, very secluded. No one came back into the bay where this site was located for the 4 days we were there. Site had a mink that came out during the day. We viewed mating snapping turtles at night. There were lots of flies and an expected amount of skeeters.
