This site had a good landing and a very interesting kitchen. Its a pretty large site with plenty of room for tents and hammocks. We had 6 guys and had no trouble with space. We happened to be staying here during a fire ban so we spent most of our time up on the big rock past the kitchen area but if you want a site where you can sit around the fire and look out at the lake move on from this site. the fire faces away from the lake and is hidden from the lake by trees as well.

This is a very nice campsite. We stayed for three days. It has a nice, calm landing area to the north of the campsite. There is a very nice grouping of trees to hang hammocks to enjoy the afternoon breeze. Tent pads are adequate. The cooksite is lovely, but if it is a sunny day, but on sunscreen before you start cooking because you will get blazed by the afternoon/evening sun. Below the cooksite is a nice swimming area. We caught a few fish, but fishing could have been better.
The only downside is that the latrine is somewhat hard to find so unfortunately people have turned portions of the island into their bathroom leaving toilet paper and waste all over the place. Come on people-don't be disgusting.
Overall, lovely campsite, great sunsets, good swimming, great hammock area, but let's keep it clean folks!
Oh, by the way, you can look across the lake at the poor souls who choose to camp at campsite 1713 (that is an ant hell-hole). Avoid 1713 at all costs. You have been warned! Proceed at your own risk.
