Sprawling site. Kitchen tight but good. Plenty of shade and wind. Two landings. Just a high quality camp. I did hear a chainsaw from this point both days I was here. Not sure where is was coming from but sounded south.

Small, though adequate landing. Situated in a lovely grove of cedar trees that provide a real sense of privacy and shelter/shade - perhaps at the expense of limiting the view. A very accommodating fire grate & log seating area. Plenty of room for tents and larger groups and I'd think would serve hammocks well too. Close to the Gull Lake portage for potential convenient day trip.

Hidden amonst cedars, this spot was great for solitude, shelter, and shade but was not ideal for swimming or shore fishing as the lake is very shallow up to 30 feet out. There was, however, some good fishing at the end of the island offshore from the site. It is a spacious and beautiful site. There are kind of two landings (one on each side of the island), and the north one was an amazing sunset spot. A bald eagle greeted us upon arrival.

Landing was not great and the view of the lake was limited. It was a very private and sheltered site well protected from the wind if you need it. tucked in a grove of cedar trees. Easy access over to Gull lake even when the wind was kicking up on Bald Eagle.

I want to give this site 4 stars, but in reality, the lack of view and good tent pads makes it an honest 3...(More like 3.5).
While an obscured view knocks it down a star, it makes up for that with a ton of excellent tarp or hammock hanging options and good shade.
Tent pads are scarce due to all the down trees in camp, however, there is one good pad 30' behind the fire grate. We managed to find one more just 15' NW of the first pad...other than that...not much.
There are a couple of ways into the camp, one on the east side of the "island" and another on the north or back side it E/SE winds are gusting.
A crappie was caught right off the landing at night as well as a couple of pike off the west side of the island.

Hard to find with shallow water landings for the canoe. Wooded with an improved kitchen form us. Very private - not the best view of the lake. Fishing was very good on this side of the lake.
