Between the time TB made his visit in May and my visit in July, someone has built a second fire pit back in the middle of the tent pad. There was only room for one tent unless you dismantle the fire pit. Good site for a couple of people especially if one is in a hammock. Bugs were normal. Thunderbox good. Lookout above camp is probably good for another year or so but trees are growing quickly.

Small landing out front that is reasonably convenient. Slightly (5ft) elevated site with fire grate just off the lake providing good log seating and an open southerly view. An exquisite flat area with room for at least a couple tents tucked back in the shaded corner. An emerging stand of jack pine behind camp and the shoreline has a dozen or so up & coming cedar trees which will really fill in this site beautifully in the coming years. There is a very tiny island just out from camp that adds to the scenery and an easily accessible massive rock rise behind camp that provides a overlook of the lake but, with the trees growing this will likely soon be minimized. Considering the current quality of the other sites on the lake, you'd all but be assured of having the lake to yourself in most instances.

Site has lots of new jack Pine growth and a sweet piece of gabbro out back that’s easy enough to climb for a nice view of the whole lake. Fishing was good in the bay by the beaver lodge. The kitchen is sunny and exposed but tents and hammocks can hang in the shade.
