A spacious site with many red pines and little ground cover. There is a flat bedrock point that extends far out into the lake on the north and west sides. The beach that this site is known for isn't that great for swimming, it is shallow and weedy with large rocks all along. You can jump off the 2-foot cliff on the west side with a running start, the water is plenty deep here and also good fishing. Many carpenter ants here as well. The cooking area is typical with options for hammocks and tarps. The two best tent pads are on man made terraces to the south of the cooking area and they overlook Tiger Bay. The latrine is new but filling up quickly, a sign of the heavy use that this site sees. It is also right next to the upper of the two tent pads. We picked up tons of garbage around this site and it seems to be a favorite of big groups. Firewood is likewise hard to find. The best bear tree near the west side cliffs. 4/5 stars because of the heavy traffic and abuse this area sees.

Private Beach. Completely shaded. Tent pads abundant, with Tarp area. Best cooking/grill grate area I have ever seen in BWCA. Cadillac of toilets with a lid and TP holder! Great to be next to good fishing in Tiger Bay just behind campsite. Bear and Eagle sighted at this site. Phenomenal!

Fantastic site. Huge open rock area, great for drying gear. Just to the east is a sandy-ish beach for swimming. West side is a length of rock raised above the water (which was low) great breeze was coming from the south. Nice drop-off along the west side, caught two pike and a walleye. Main campsite is among pine trees. Firegrate located at bottom of him just south of the open rock. Tent pads are up the hill to the south. Fit in 3 two-man tents and 2 one-man tents without crowding.

We base camped here for a couple nights. Excellent swimming. Beautiful sunsets. Nice flat rocks around the fire grate for cooking. Big Pines around the camp for hanging tarps/hammocks. You can see the pictograph wall through the binocs 3 miles to the North. We have much more of the BWCA to explore....but would love to make it back to this site again years from now. Treat it well!

Huge site among tall red pines. Tent pads are level and on several levels. Excellent landings on either side on point. Large flat rock area out front for sitting out near the water.
