Stayed 2 nights in June 2024. Campsite was well maintained and free of most signs of human interaction. Faces east, great sunrise views, gets darker earlier with the sunset blocked by dense tree cover. A few good shore fishing spots. Site has entire secluded bay to itself.

Spent the entire first week of September here with 3 other guys. Tent pads were a bit slanted, but I was in a hammock next to a rock that overlooked the site. Lots of good hammock spots. The whole site is raised up from the water and offers the best view I've ever had from a site in the BWCA. Wind protection was excellent! A pair of swans were living in the bay, which was amazing. We watched them every day. Some beavers were also living here. Plenty of good firewood, nice and open, lots of red pine. A flat stump at the perfect height for splitting is next to the fire grate. The bay is pretty shallow and the water quality was not great with lots of vegetation, but that's why the swans liked it, so it was totally worth it. Great fishing outside the bay. Be careful on the steep rock next to the lake. Landing was pretty average. All in all, we loved this site and had an amazing time here. It was an absolute gem and so enchanting watching our swan neighbors every day. For my group and our preferences, this was 5 stars.

Love this site. The elevation to the fire pit gives a great view of the bay. The cove is shallow and not to conducive for swimming. Did see a pike swallow a duck in the bay. Lots of oranges in the fall colors. The site offers a safe harbor from the main lake wind.
