This is an interesting site. You can potentially land at the stoney area on the point but a better landing is to the east. It's basically a short and easy portage over to the site from there. Great and I do mean great views from camp!
The only issue is there is also an easy view of the latrine from camp. Not a problem with just 2 of us, we just announced we were going to the can and the other purposely ensures their back is to the woods and all is well.

I have been hearing about this site for awhile. I really enjoyed Wasini the last time I visited, but didn't get to check out the site. Unfortunately someone had messed with the site and moved the grate (obviously not the USFS) and burned a ton of trash and smashed a bunch of glass. The site was a mess. We were in the middle of our guiding staff training trip when we stopped here for lunch so we used some time and put the site back together again and packed out the trash. Please leave no trace, it makes the BWCA better for everyone. Great site and views here.

Without a doubt, the premier campsite between Kekekabic and Fraser. This site really does have a lot going for it. Several great tent pads, awesome view, the 'Wisini tripod rock' just across the narrows. That being said, The chink in the armor is that the landing is something like rock climbing. It looks like there may be another (more accommodating) one down quite a ways to the SE. Obviously, canoe storage will be an issue.

This site has it all: tons of nice tent pads, elevation off the water, a raspberry field behind the site (a little ways up the hill), cliff jumping, and hiking trails in every direction. Just be careful loading and unloading since there is no good place to park your canoe.

It's a very cool site. It is high up on a cliff. The cliff forms large steps. The kitchen has a great view of the lake in all directions. There are a lot of tent pads. The only issue was the landing. I couldn't figure out where to land the canoe. It appeared that there may have been a landing far down the shore southeast of the site. If it is it, it would be pretty much a full portage from the landing to the campsite.
