Campsite is up on a tall rock at the entrance to the river. Landing is a little difficult, but not too bad. I was able to back the canoe into some rocks that held the canoe in place and allowed me to get out on the grass. The bow person had a little more trouble getting out. The kitchen is back in the trees. There isn't much of a view from the kitchen itself, but the view from the "patio" out front is awesome. There are two good tent pads right by the kitchen. It is a small site other than the patio. It is 100 yards to the latrine (seemed longer than that, so I paced it out). It looked like a good fishing spot, but we didn't have any luck.

Landing at normal/lower water levels is decent, but not one with a lot of good footing *in* the water due to the slope and rockiness. Site is nicely elevated with great views out on the rock. Fire grate is nicely accessed while not being in the way of anything else considering the site is somewhat compact. Grate and tent pads are well-sheltered without feeling claustrophobic. This site is almost ready for hammocks again in a spot or two.

Well the whole site is jack pine, but it's elevated nicely. This will be a nice site again someday.

The landing didn't impress me but, I was here during flood stage so, it may be more accommodating in lower/normal water levels. However, I think canoe storage (especially for groups) may be cumbersome regardless. It's a bit of a scramble up to this elevated site. The firegrate area is quite nice but, there isn't much of a view. There are a couple of really nice tent pads and some mature trees in and near camp (currently a rarity for this area.) FYI as some maps aren't entirely clear: site is located on northern bank of river.
