This isn't a bad site. In fact, it was once an incredible site. It sits on a huge rock face with deep cracks going 8 ft deep into the earth in spots. That said, there were some detractors. First, I failed to bring more than a hammock and tarp so I ended up on the ground (no hammock trees after the fire.) And I just happened to be in a nasty time of the year where it got just warm enough for one more hatch of mosquitos and then cold enough to cover everything in heavy dew. Both hit with a certain poignancy when I am sleeping under a canoe/tarp setup. The site also had lots of garbage and someone had left hot coals in the fire grate. I know Pagami was started by lightning, but the irony didn't sneak past me that I found a fire not properly put out in an area still scarred by wildfire. I packed out the trash and put out the fire.

Good landing area, fire grate area is close to the water and provides nice views of the lake. There was little to no shade or shelter but, we were able to get the tarp setup using a downed tree. The rocky shoreline to the north made exploration fun & easy and provided a swimming spot. Lots of good firewood close at hand. In time, with the return of mature trees etc., I'd rate this site even better.
