Nice site. I gave it 4-stars, but not the best landing, and the surrounding area is still recovering from the fire. The site is spacious and has a nice view and a nice grassy area. The surrounding area is still recovering from the fire.

5 star landing, very easy to deal with. It is slightly west (to left, as look from lake to shore) of campsite. 5 star view across lake, though the area was 99% burned 10 years ago. The river leading to and from this lake is fun, and the Little Isabella River is not to be missed - utterly charming, fun, intimate, can't say enough superlatives.
I don't believe the 2016 post regarding swampiness or bugs is accurate. We stayed here for two nights and had few bugs. It was certainly a dry site. Grass is likely due to the fire, not to wetness. (BTW, the Forest Service didn't save the trees on this site - fires are unpredictable and even the super intense fires such as Yellowstone's many years ago never burn everything, but rather leave a patchwork of different levels of burn and, as here, a little patch of no burn.)
One large tent site could handle two tents, but know that it's in full sun. Two smaller tent sites are in full shade in a delightful grove of cedars that were mercifully spared by the fire. One gets a real appreciation for the capricious, quirky nature of fire - all around the trees were burned except this one small area and a couple of other odd small areas around and about. Tent site rating is a 3. Latrine is hidden but very convenient.
Nice enough kitchen, 4 stars though no elevated flat rock to work on food prep. (Which prompted buying a $40 2 lb aluminum 16" x 25" collapsible table post trip on our part).
Connects to a hiking trail, which is a fun diversion on a layover day. Swimming was typical of most sites in BWCA - wear some sort of foot protection because there's no sand, and its either sharp to walk on, or super slippery.

Delightful site.. landing to the west.. plenty of tent space behind fire area on the grass. Stayed 4 nights with some rain & snow. Built tarp cave to the east in the trees. Nice morning coffee area further to the east. Once the forest fully recovers lake will come back to its former glory.. Had a field day with fishing the narrows by the other campsite..

The Forest Service did a good job of saving this site from the fire. Nice grassy area for a couple of tents behind the kitchen area. Plenty of fire wood due to trees that were killed in the fire. Great dry site with good rock and grass that help keep gear clean. Crystal clear water.

The best landing area is a bit west of this site, as it is more situated for hikers using the Pow Wow Trail. Still it's an expansive grassy (if not slightly swampy) spot that provides several tent options. Trees around this site have been spared, so there is good shelter & shade. There was also a neat seat carved out of a stump/log. We didn't stay here but, with all the grass it looked very buggy.
