I debated between 4-star and 5-star for this one, and I am rounding up. The landing is a small sand beach, which doubles as a great swimming area. Short hike up to the campsite proper. Nice view from the kitchen. Nice trees to provide shade, but there usually is not much of a breeze (unless it is from the south), which was not good for us since the bugs were really bad. Flat tent pads with some roots here or there, but the tent pads are very close together. Very good fishing for sunfish and bass right from the shore, and there are trails going along the shore to the east and west for more fishing spots.

We arrived well after dark and were none to picky about the campsite. This was a nice one with a sandy beach, a good view of the lake, and amazing boulders off shore. The only detractor is some of the tent pads are a little cramped in, but I look for that in a wilderness campsite. We had an incredible display of the northern lights start while we were here which we paddled out to watch. Nice site.

Decent site. Best one on lake. More trees than the other site on this lake.

Nice beach landing and swimming. Great kitchen. Good view of lake. Clean latrine. Good overhead tree cover, a few good bear trees. Worst feature is that the wind didn't stop blowing from the due south for the three nights we were here. Definitely the better campsite on this lake.
