We took this campsite after coming off LIS from Cummings, grateful to end our day after 17 miles of rugged slogging and zigzag paddling. The campsite on the north end might be better overall, but we didn't want to risk having to paddle upwind back to this campsite. It doesn't have much shade, but we were late in the day and leaving in the morning, so that wasn't a detriment for us. There are great stargazing rocks in front of the kitchen. We watched the partial lunar eclipse over the far shore and enjoyed our rest here. There were two trees for a bear bag toward the north end of the campsite, but you have to use the single-tree method to pull it out and away since it is all jack pines with dense branches. The surrounding woods are thick and brushy.

Wide open campsite with a good landing. Essentially there are no trees for shade. Can land several places along the sloping rock out front. The kitchen is pretty standard, but there is no shade around it. There are a couple of decent tent pads, and you can find a couple of other places to put tents if needed. We had decent fishing casting from shore. A positive of the site is that you can get a good breeze going through to take care of the bugs.

This site is a big, open rock. It's nice enough I suppose, but there isn't much for shade. Lots of room to sit out and enjoy the scenery.

Any port when you've been slogging down the Little Indian Sioux! As noted, wide open, no trees for hanging food. Two decent big tent pads, and one rooty rocky one north under the spruces. I pitched a small tent along the latrine trail which was not ideal.

Wide open campsite. No good canoe landing. Clearly not used very much.
