We were staying on Lake Two, and I got immediate FOMO when seeing this site. I do really prefer the smaller lakes, and this site has an excellent view of Rifle. The firegrate is practically in a red pine grove overlooking the entire lake. There are several (at least 5 or 6) large erratic boulders littering the site. The 7-year-olds we were with loved climbing them and called this the playground site. The latrine is conspicuously close to camp, right behind one of these large boulders, but at least that means it's out of view. Yes, it is right on the portage, but this doesn't look like a main thoroughfare. Wish we would have stayed here!

Campsite is in a red pine grove just off the portage. It has a great view of the lake. Landing is very easy. Great hammocking setup. The nearby portage could be a negative except that I do not think the lake sees many visitors.

Good site for camping with 3 nice tent pads. The kitchen is up on a rock just off the water. The only bad part is the portage is right next to the campsite. I mean right next to the site, maybe 10 yards way. We only checked it out as we going by and it was open. I would keep moving on if it was me.

Great campsite, low usage lake the time we were on it. Good population of Largemouth bass. The site has several great hammock trees. Good tent pad and good rock out front of fire grate. It is close to the portage but was not a issue due to low traffic.
